Boys Day Flags

Boys Day is a tradition in Hawaii, passed down from Japanese ancestors. One tradition is to hang one carp flag outside your home for each child in the family.  Here we created our own carp flags for boys day with paint and hand prints for scales. It was a fun activity that the children loved!
